Dear Valued Stakeholder,

The Engineering Council of South Africa is excited to announce that the Seventh Term Governing Council has officially taken office.

The new Governing Council officially appointed on 02 April 2025 has formally elected the President Mr TC Madikane, Pr. Eng and Vice President Ms Marcia Maidi, Pr. Eng of the Governing Council, marking the beginning of a new chapter for ECSA.

This incoming Governing Council represents a diverse mix of Registered Persons, government representatives, public members, Recognised Voluntary Associations, and Higher Education Institutions.

Together, they will provide strategic leadership and guidance over the next four years (2025 to 2029), driving the advancement of the engineering profession and safeguarding the public interest.

The Governing Council takes over from the Sixth Term Council, which built a strong governance foundation rooted in international best practices.

Their legacy sets the stage for continued excellence and innovation in engineering regulation.

Let us take a moment to celebrate and congratulate our newly appointed Governing Council Members for their commitment to the profession.

We look forward to the journey ahead under their leadership!
